Chicago Hot Dog

A Chicago-style hot dog, also known as a Chicago Dog or Chicago Red Hot, is an all-beef frankfurter served on a poppy seed bun with a variety of toppings: Yellow mustard Chopped white onions Sweet pickle relish Dill pickle spear Tomato slices or wedges Pickled sport peppers Celery salt The hot dog is often steamed, but can also be water-simmered or grilled over charcoal. The toppings are said to create a complex flavor in each bite, and the whole assembly is sometimes described as being "dragged through the garden".
